Minister of Finance – South Africa
Pravin Jamnadas Gordhan is a South African politician and current Minister of Finance, a position he had previously held from
2009-2014. He is also the former Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Aairs, serving from 2014–2015 as well as
the Commissioner of the South African Revenue Service from 1999 to 2009
Felipe Leal is the former Secretary [Minister] of Urban Development and Housing within the 21 million people Metropolis of Mexico City. He is also former Dean of the Graduate School of Architecture at UNAM, Mexico’s main 320 000 student strong public University. He was honoured with the Mario Pani and Ricardo de Robina awards from Mexico’s City College of Architects and Mexico’s Federation of Architecture College for his work on diffusing architecture. Leal is an emeritus member of the National Academy of Architecture and Mexico’s City College of Architects. He is a main member of the Seminary on Mexican culture.
Kelvin Campbell is a South Africa-born architect and urban designer, with a professional interest in complex urban problems, from those of informal settlements through to urban renewal of the city. Campbell is the Chair of Smart Urbanism, an open-source urban research and development organisation; a Fellow in the Built Environment with the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851; and an Honorary Professor at CASA (Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis) at The Bartlett, University College of London] He is a writer and publisher of books and articles on the subject of urbanism, including the UK government’s first policy document on urban design in the planning system. In 2013 Campbell was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Urban Design Group for his contribution to urban design.
