The organising committee has made a decision to postpone the We Design conference to June 2016. A final date will be announced within the next few days.
At the same time as being a currently challenging funding environment, the most compelling reason for the postponement is the unexpected and growing response from a wide range of unpredicted quarters including business, business coalitions, government, labour federations, the academia, research organisations, ngo’s and others.
The growing sense is that this is a once-off opportunity to bring together, perhaps for the very first time, the broadest range of entities and individuals that are, in a variety of ways, already engaged in aligned endeavours.
Achieving this will give the required impetus to the project and its objective of radical transformation of our Cities, Towns and Villages to unlock the spatial barriers to economic freedom within our lifetimes.
Both international keynote speakers, Felipe Leal and Kelvin Campbell, remain available on the proposed new dates and are equally if not more excited to participate.
We sincerely hope that you will be available on this date.
We apologise for the inconvenience, but trust that this decision will enable a more potent outcome.
