The KZNIA Journal

The Journal, as we like to call it, has been at the heart of KwaZulu-Natal architecture for over 30 years and 100 issues. Since its inception in 1976 as "Newsletter of the Natal Provincial Institute of Architects", the Journal has been sponsored by Corobrik, and continues to go from strength to strength.
Distributed widely to all the regional Institutes in South Africa, as well as universities and schools, the Journal is cherished and admired by practitioners throughout the world for its high standard of journalistic and graphic presentation of the work, thinking and development of local architects. At the same time it has attempted to explore global issues such as sustainability and green architecture and provide an historical mirror of what is at the cutting edge of KwaZulu-Natal architecture.
Professor Walter Peters has been our longstanding editor, taking up the reins in 1982, and is currently assisted by a dedicated committee and acclaimed graphic designer, Maria Criticos. Recent issues are available from the Institute building in Glenwood.
