KZNIA Scrolls of Honour Awarded

DATE: 19th June 2012

KZNIA members Bruce Clark and Bharti Vithal were recently awarded KZNIA Scrolls of Honour in recognition of their contributions to the KZNIA over the past few years. The inscriptions follow below. They are both emigrating to different continents, and though they will be sorely missed, we do look forward to hearing news of the architectural scenes in Australia and Canada.

Bruce Clark and Bharti Vithal

Bharti Vithal

Soon after being elected to the committee of the KZ-NIA in 2008, Bharti Vithal became active in the Communication and Promotion of our Institute as a vehicle for architectural culture.
Her dedication has served to expand the network of people who share a common vision and interest in promoting the profession and broadening its accessibility while her enthusiasm has infused the membership at regional and national levels and even touched on the international.
This scroll of honour is presented to Bharti Vithal by her colleagues with affection and respect in recognition of her dedicated service to our profession of Architecture over the years.

Bruce Clark

Regional committees are the pillars of our Institute, which are given their solidity by the dedication of individual members, and few exemplify the qualities of integrity exuded by Bruce Clark, KZ-NIA-President, 2005-6.
More than that, members need to be continuously involved in honing their professional skills and responsibilities central to the construction process. Bruce committed himself not only to matters educational in nature but initiated and largely single-handedly carried out a complete revision of the national Practice Manual.
This scroll of honour is presented to Bruce Clark by his colleagues with affection and profound respect in recognition of his dedicated service to our profession of Architecture over many years.
